The Hall-Southington game took almost three hours to complete. That's long for high schools. But then when a quarterback throws for 476 yards and seven TDs in a 47-27 game Wednesday night, the running clock slows down with all that passing. Connor Butkiewicz was the quarterback of the night. The Blue Knights spread offense was superb. Now, their defense doesn't appear as stout. Hall stayed with Southington in the first half, which was tied 27-27. Wayne Brookbanks, a solid back; and quarterback Riley Carroll were impressive. But Carroll looked a little dizzy after taking a hard hit in the third quarter and he didn't return. So much for Hall's chances. The Warriors couldn't stop Southington's passing game. The rest of the CCC Division I will have to try to find a way to do that.
