  • Sean McQuillan scored five touchdowns, including a 1-yard run with 47 seconds left, as Glastonbury came from 24 points down at halftime to defeat visiting Southington 49-46 Friday in a CCC Division I game.

    McQuillan ran for four touchdowns, had a 45-yard interception return for a TD and passed to Ryan McCarthy for a 37-yard touchdown. McQuillan finished with 220 yards on 28 carries for the Tomahawks (2-0), No. 2 in the Courant state ratings, who trailed 46-28 after three.

    Southington (1-1) built a 38-14 lead after Connor Butkiewicz passed for three touchdowns in the first half; he finished with 391 yards passing.
