WINDSOR - For a second straight week, Southington came out three points shy in a CCC Division I game decided in the fourth quarter.

Last week, it was Sean McQuillian and Glastonbury. On Friday, it was Pierre Narcisse and Windsor, which scored the winning touchdown with 7:27 to play to pin a 24-21 setback on the Blue Knights, who fell to 1-2.

"We're 1-2 now, but every team has to play Windsor, they have to play us, they have to play New Britain and they have to play Glastonbury," said Southington coach Bill Mella, whose team will look to right the ship next Friday at Rentschler Field against New Britain.

Narcisse, a senior quarterback, ran for a 10-yard touchdown in the first half and later threw scoring passes of 75 and 37 yards. The 37-yarder, to Brian McClain, was the game-winner for the Warriors (2-1), who have won two straight since falling to Simsbury on opening night.

"They're a really good team with an excellent coach and they were well-prepared," Mella said. "(Narcisse) is a real talented athlete with a great arm. He's a threat both ways, running and passing."

Southington junior quarterback Connor Butkiewicz was under pressure for much of the game, but he wasn't sacked and he did complete 15 of 30 passes for 172 yards and two TDs. His 22-yarder to junior Mike Rhodd on a rollout that he wound up throwing across the field, had Southington up 14-7 at halftime.

Windsor tied the game 14-14 midway through the third quarter on a short pass that Aaron Berardino turned into a 75-yard score down the sideline.

Jeffrey Acosta put the Warriors up 17-14 in the opening minute of the fourth quarter with a 37-yard field goal. Butkiewicz erased that deficit with a 15-yard TD pass to Anthony Florian, but Windsor answered on its next possession with a 54-yard scoring drive capped by the Narcisse-to-McClain connection.

Southington had two chances after that. One ended with a fumble at the Windsor 45, the other on downs at the Blue Knight 30.

Senior running back Dylan Danko had a 100-yard game for the Blue Knights on 23 carries. Danko's 10-yard touchdown run opened the scoring in the first quarter. The touchdown came after Southington was stopped on a previous possession on a fourth-down play at the Windsor 19.
